The Master Grocers Constitution
At the MGA Annual General Meeting held on the 18th November 2008, 3 resolutions to amend the rules of the MGA constitution were unanimously adopted and carried by the MGA Board of Directors and Members.
The 3 resolutions included:
Changes to MGA Rules and Constitution, subject to the approval of the Australian Industrial Relations Commission
and the Australian Securities and Investment Commission include:
- Alteration to Eligibility Rules
- Alteration to Other Rules
- Change of Name
Marked up Constitution
The overriding purpose of amending the rules of MGA's constitution is to provide MGA with a solid platform,
enabling the future sustainable growth of its member support services and its membership base on a national basis.
The amended constitution will enable MGA to be a vibrant, relevant, national industry organisation dedicated to providing
a broader range of business and support services to Australian Grocery and Liquor/Beverage retailer members.
