Ticketing comes in all shapes and sizes, but does this matter?
The answer is yes and its impact, on the department can be great.
Poorly produced, dirty, inaccurate, incomplete tickets would define most produce ticketing systems in use today.
It appears that most don't adequately do everything they are required to do and therefore are supplemented with added stickers and paper tickets making the whole look messy.
Keep it simple, keep the ticket frames clean by having a cleaning schedule, maintain compliance to the unit pricing and country of origin legislation, have a good look at what is happening in your store and clean up your ticketing.
IDEA:
The cleanest and simplest system is to use paper tickets, display them in plastic frames using clear ticket holders and you will have a system that is well maintained and accurate.
For a free produce ticketing system using Microsoft word you can download this from the MGA website see the Member Downloads link and register for free to receive your free system download.
The system includes special ticketing fonts, and basic templates for A4, A5 and 9-up tickets as well as a complete produce database of descriptions, unit price fields as well as country of origin.
This system is currently being used by thousands of retailers across Australia to produce in-store tickets and requires you to have Microsoft Office 2003 upwards to work.
