Who is The Grocery and Liquor Association?.

The Grocery and Liquor Association was formed some 50 years ago as a Community fund raising arm of the Master Grocers Australia.

The GALA committee consists of a number of grocery and liquor industry representatives who willingly volunteer their time to support a worthy community organisation, namely, the Reach Foundation.

The purpose of G.A.L.A. is to represent both the Grocery and Liquor Industries in supporting charity whilst fostering goodwill, friendships and networking opportunities for all companies (wholesalers, retailers and suppliers) willing to be involved.

G.A.L.A. conducts 2 Major Annual Industry Charity events. Industry Golf Day Keysborough GC March and the Industry Dinner Dance in August 4 each year

It is from these events we have been able to raise considerable funds for the Reach Foundation.

In recent times we have recruited additional committee members from the trade to ensure we always present the trade with the freshest and liveliest approach to fostering a community spirit within our industry
