MGA is registered with the Australian Industrial Relations Commission (AIRC) and the Australian Securities and Investment
Commission (ASIC). MGA must comply with the regulations in the both Workplace Relations and Corporations Acts.
Governing Master Grocers Australia is an 8 member board of directors comprising of independent grocery and liquor retailers
from around Australia.
The board has resolved to appoint an independent director to the board to add additional diverse skills and knowledge.
The company Secretary is an independent Chartered Accountant. There are also invited guests (observers) who provide
additional skills, experience and knowledge. The board is responsible for reviewing strategy, budgets and operational
plans as well as ensuring full legal compliance.
