MGA has been closely collaborating with the Queensland Government to direct Queensland senior citizens, the aged and infirm, people with disability and those in isolation to call upon their local Independent Supermarket for their food and grocery needs.
The Queensland Department of Communities, Disability Services and Seniors (Community Recovery team) has been tasked with this very important initiative.
This support program will initially focus on people over the age of 70 years or those people who are 60 years with underlying health conditions and people living with disability who are required to stay at home during this time.
Your store will provide a vital link for the Queensland Government to reach out and assist those people in need of basic food and grocery items within your local communities.
A representative from Queensland Government Community Recovery call centre team may contact you to confirm your ability to assist with placing, payment and delivery of essential groceries to those in need.
